The Nursery children who are moving up to P1 in August have enjoyed the first of their 'taster' mornings. In Nursery they are patiently waiting for their butterflies to emerge from their chrysalises so we spent the morning learning more about the life cycle of the butterfly. We also used tweezers to count caterpillar eggs on to leaves, made playdough caterpillars, played a matching pairs game to find symmetrical butterflies and painted butterfly wings using pipettes instead of paint brushes.
The children also had their first PE lesson with Ms. Elson, they especially enjoyed the Mr. Men game! After all that hard work it was a good job they had a chance to stay for lunch and enjoy some of Arna and Wilma's tasty cooking!
We in Lower Primary loved having them with us today and can't wait for next time.
