Fiddles & cellos

Last Tuesday, while the Sanday Lower Primary pupils and staff were visiting our school, all the beginner fiddles and cellos from both schools got together.
It was Elizabeth Sullivan's great idea for them to have a lesson together, which they thoroughly enjoyed.  The Sanday pupils were real troopers to bring their instruments with them as well as school bags and and swimming kits, especially those bringing their celllos!  They performed a piece entitled 'Crocodile' practising their bowing technique on different strings.  The lyrics of the song ask if the crocodile has had his tea yet since he has a reputation for eating fiddle players!
