Where and When in Social Subjects?

As part of our Aims and Ethos Day, students had the chance to work as a team to produce a costume based on a country theme or historical theme. To add an eco- friendly element to the challenge, all the costumes had to be made from old/unwanted/ recyclable stuff! The results were very creative ..as you can see. Well done to ALL ! 

Feel the Force Challenge...

• A short lesson about balanced and unbalanced.
• Discussion about towers/bridges being balanced or unbalanced.
• Short quiz about forces.
• Bridge building challenge:
• 30 straws
• 2 metres of sellotape
• 3 pairs of scissors

• The aim of the challenge was to build two towers to support a road:
• Team work / Support
• Design
• The bridge which held the most mass won.

The winning team was: Johnny, Jack, Eoan and Millie (Gaynor & Andrew R.)
